Good News at 11 Weeks!

They tested Mia's lactic acid level this morning and it was down to 2.2!! The lowest it's ever been and already within the goals set by the doctors. This is truly a wonderful moment! Dr. Berry was very happy (and even possibly surprised) that it had dropped so low already. He thinks the thiamine may be responsible, but it is possible the ketogenic diet is already working as well, and of course all the prayers!

Mia is more wide awake and aware than ever before and really enjoys our little walks around the hospital. We took her with us today to get some lunch from the cafeteria and then back to her room to eat. She gets really relaxed walking around in our arms.

Hope everyone has a great time tonight at the Miracle for Mia benefit. Wish we could all be there with you but you must party on without us! See you all soon.

Goodmprning to you all:

What great news to wake up to today!

Added to the unbelieveable time last night, the turnout and the incrediable support of the east end community..

By the way all 3 of you were there with us, thru pics the slide presentation, stories from family and friends.

This is our way of helping and supporting this journey you are on. Mia fighting her fight from birth and the 2 of you as her guiding force.

Today is a new day with great news!
Celebrate today and I pray that tommorrow will be even better!
Love
Norie

Noah, the ladies looked lovely, in their pink in the pink room. May the force be with Mia, she's definitely not Vader, with the pink butterflies.

Love & Miss you all
Jess

Greetings! Heard all about the Benefit the other night from your Dad - I really wish we could have rearranged things to make it. It sounds like it was amazing and great time for all. And very successful to boot. And Mia keeps doing her part . . . great to hear the low levels already. I bet she is really starting to love her sojourns around the hospital. Today is so warm I am picturing you venturing outside to smell the flowers and feel the sunshine. Love to you all - Aunt M

Dear Noah & Francesca & Mia,
What an incredible night it was on Saturday. Everyone there loves all of you and we were all there to help support you in some small way. You were certainly present with all the pictures. So happy that Mia's lactic acid is down, let's hope it stays that way. Love you. Aunt Theresa & Uncle Mickey

God love you both. There is a reason for you two to have Mia because you two are so special and have so much love to give. Give Mia a hug for me.
