Boston Bound
We've decided to transfer Mia's care to Children's Hospital Boston. We feel that Stony Brook has done a great job, but that it's time to move on to more specialized care. Mia is doing okay, but she's not really putting weight on fast enough and again the doctors are puzzled.
The results from Mia's MRI on Friday showed all sorts of underdeveloped areas of her brain. There is no way to know how this will affect her development in the long run, for now we're just taking it minute to minute.

We want to wish you a very safe trip. You guys are making a good decision to seek out another opinion on the questions that remain unanswered. I will pray for all of you and the doctors. You are Mia's heros. I adore the pictures of her. Put a nibble on her from us. We miss you and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I love you.
